Roses, yay!

Was goooood. I was in a bad mood but they swiftly cheered me up.

I love the Mauro Turnpike remix...

A great gig................nice to hear Via.............only slight dissapointment was a bad version of Roses............

Mauro's backing vocals were great throughout and the band were tight, looked like they were having fun and the audience obviously loved it..........It looked like it had sold out to me, was certainly pretty packed,.,

we got down the front, just in front of Klaas (as usual), but I noticed more than anything this time, more violin in the bits I can never normally hear them (mainly when he's plucking it, or making noises with it that aren't normal, or suds and soda-esque) - which was great to hear

I think it was during the end part of 'Little Arithmetics' I was hearing another song in there - not sure what song, but god, it was good ;)

I had earplugs in - so that's why I picked up on this... but ahh. Great gig - just a pity I feel so tired now, cause I'd gush a lot more, otherwise!

I can't believe as well, it only dawned on me last night that Stephane sings while drumming! Maybe previous gigs, with them being smaller, meant I just couldn't see him...!

was a great gig and I was pleasantly surprised to see how many people were there considering how little press they get over here .I am not a big fan of "fell off the floor man " but it was a great version the other night and to follow it with " Via " ? too much , dude !

Lucky lucky you Jo - too bad I couldn't even see them in Manchester this time cos - and this is gonna kill you - I was in AMSTERDAM that week - between the 2nd and the 8th in fact - on what has now become an annual retreat over there to escape the worst of the firework yobbery and all that shit. I had a well chilled out and wonderful time over there cycling all over the place as usual, but of course having suffered what I did earlier this year with my ear disorder it was still very early for me to get back to attending amplified gigs so I have had to take it on the chin and miss more bands than I would have liked (next gig is British Sea Power on the 20th in Manchester - another one I have to forego). However, one tiny consolation (but certainly not enough to atone for missing dEUS by any stretch of the imagination) was seeing Brakes playing a short in-store acoustic set at the Concerto record shop on Utrechtstraat before their main gig of the weekend as part of the London Calling showcase of UK acts at the Paradiso venue that weekend.

Nevertheless, I am very jealous that everybody seems to have had one hell of a blast at these latest gigs and my only regret is not being able to be there anyway.

Sounds like a great gig-- I'm sorry I missed it... and I can't believe they didn't play Via in Glasgow! Bah.

Pardon my absolute crap memory, but what song was it when he sang that?

Nice.
I've been wondering since a little while whether they had already played live sessions @ Xfm as I remember the live sessions were sooooo good...It used to be one of my favourite radiostation...

I had a great time at this gig, I absolutely loved Via. Felt very nostalgic. Cold Sun was especially good live and also What We Talk About actually sounded like a reasonable song too!

I have to say I would prefer to see them open with Bad Timing and put PR later in the set. I think Bad Timing would make a fantastic opener. I Loved the Theme From Turnpike, that was great.

The lights also made the show very cool. Very simple and very atmospheric... just like the olden days... but more modern.

Overall great show... whilst I'm pleased everyone knew the words I'd rather they let Tom do the work. I have been guilty of singing along in the past but it was a bit silly in the Empire.
