OK........8 hours driving and 500 miles later and i'm still smiling like an idiot.

Arrived in Manchester and 2 minutes after parking the car bumped into Tom....he was on the phone outside the tour bus......then decided to get some eats cause it was 2 hours till doors open and who walks in but all of dEUS....they had dinner & drinks.....Klaas is so polite!!!!!

Then at the gig they played......VIA.

Well I'm off to bed to have wicked thoughts about Mauro

Hi, Yes, similar sort of thing.
Got to Manchester from Sheffield with two mates. Parked up, went for a couple of drinks around 5.30pm. Went across the road to Abduls for a kebab and met up with the tour Manager and chatted to him while we ate.
Went into the Academy and met Tom, shook his hand and wished him well on the gig. Great experience.
And well, the gig was awesome. The whole set was incredible. Saw them at Birmingham last year and they blew that set away completely even though they were amazing then.
My favourite was Cold Sun of Circumstance.
I even though that the support band were superb.
Red Organ Serpent Sound. They took a little heckling from a couple of Irish guys between songs but they just took it in their stride.
Overall, what a totally mega night.
Even the long drive home didn't seem to matter.

Well all those who are due to see them in London tonight are in for a treat. Superb gig from the boys last night - Cold Sun & Instant Street were amazing! as were via and suds and sun ra.....i could go on.

Tom said they would hopefully be looking at March (next year!) when they come back to the UK, all i have to say on that matter is that they better!!

We got Via, with bum notes, but hey, it made me happy. Tom seemed to enjoy it too.

Awesome show. Cold Sun was indeed mighty, as was What We Talk About, which is much more of an event live than on the album.

It's all good. And we got Via. Oh yeah.

Gotta agree with you lot. Absolute top gig!!!!!
Ive seen some bands in my time, but these boys really kick ass. More energy than sellafield....
Cant wait to see em again in Amsterdam & hopefully here next march (as was mentioned).
This band deserve to be up there with the best. Excellent live show, impressive lighting too.

I got some piccies too like this one... Image

Got to say a great gig (again) on Sunday night. Three times for me now, better with each one. I really dig the coda at the end of Turnpike...rawk!

Anyway, I've set up one of these flickr pages too...Chamone Mo'Fo'. I've just got the 5 there.

I loved when they played Via. Also Sun Ra was excellent, sadly right when they were playing it a fat guy dancing in a strange way started to bounce just around me (I was pretty in front)....
Does anyone have the set list?

We had the opposite pre-gig exprience: despite a measly one-hour train journey, Worriedaboutsatan and I took so long getting there due to bomb scares, miscommunication and inefficient map reading we missed the support band entirely, let alone meeting the chaps for dinner 'n' drinks. 'Twas awesome enough to forgive the pulled leg muscle caused by the stomp down there though. It's still crazy painful, Gavin.

We were invited to the aftershow by the tour manager before the gig, but he didn't know exactly where it was going to be! (in the pub across the road is what he said!).
We went in the only pub (not the Thai restaurant) across the road after the gig but no-one showed up - we gave it while just after 11pm and legged it home.
