What the future holds.

Some of us can feel that the band, as a whole, is getting tired: the sudden mood changes, the fact that they are always playing the same songs, and the fact that they spend a lot of time submerged by their other projects. Where are dEUS going? Will they be able to surprise us still? What do you think?

While I heard the new song 'if you don't get what you want' I was a little disappointed. Off course it was the first time I heard it+ they made the song in 1 week.
Now, when I look back to tmf and listen the new song, I really start to like it. It's really good! And when they can change some thing in studio it'll be a great song.

That other new song: "nothing really ends" is not really my thing, it's great but you can't compare it with the early work...

Now we see that Danny is growing with vive la fëte, they are even playing in the USA and JAPAN. Tim leaves dEUS to concentrate on Millionaire. Jules is also in Vive la fëte. Craig is not in dEUS, althought he played in the short summertour, he also hates touring.
What's left? Tom and Klaas, it are idd the 2 men who taked care of the sound of dEUS, together with Stef but...it's not enough.
When you see what a succes the side-projects of all the members have, I think dEUS is sliding away :'(

Tom says that a new cd will be for late 2003 or later. I think either dEUS will never come again, or they will make a cd but it'll be much later. It's maybu hard to say but when Millionaire, vive la fëte, ect keep growing, dEUS will die...

It's so regrettable because dEUS is so beautifull, it's history, it's music, everything :'(
why oh why?

And when Tom will start again with dEUS it'll be "totally different". Dunoo what you guys think but I don't want a usual rock-cd, I want the dEUS from WCS and IABUTS!!!
"if you don't get what you want" is good but 10 of that songs can get boring.

I'm a pessimist, but I still think we must pray for dEUS, otherwise it's gonna die (but not in our hearts).

greetz

ps. Tom can get a new drummer, new bass player, new guitar player, but with all those new members, it's not gonna be dEUS anymore...
